In The Hive, a top-secret genetic research facility owned by the Umbrella Corporation located deep beneath Raccoon City. There job was easy a technician would load vials of blue and green liquid into a secured case. Well one day the tecnician tossed one blue vial onto the floor inside the lab, he exited and sealed the room hoping that the people would be safe from the liquid. The vial breaks and the facility's security system (known as the Red Queen) detects possible infection, seals the Hive and kills everyone inside. Umbrella sent a team to investigate why the Red Queen killed all Hive staff. The computer has characteristics of a person, such as a gender (female). She is responsible for releasing a nerve gas in the mansion which caused Alice and Spence's amnesia(the two were supposedly thought to be married). The crew find their way first to the Dining Hall B up to the Queen's chamber. Alice and Kaplan shut the Queen down, but in doing so open the doors of the facility, releasing the undead staff and experiments from the laboratories in which they were imprisoned. A battle between commandos and flesh-eating zombies commences. Alice and Matt are the only two survivors of the team left but Matt is taken away later.
The Umbrella Corporation sends in a research team to re-open the complex. The entire team is slaughtered by zombies and Lickers who have been sealed within the complex. The virus and infectious zombies will make their way to the surface, Umbrella establishes a security perimeter around the city to keep the citizens in a quarantined area. The infection reached critical stages, and Umbrella dispatched their Nemesis program (Matthew G. Taylor) to kill all remaining Special Tactics And Rescue Service operatives and as many of the undead as possible. However when he encounters L.J. Wayne, and thirteen other members of S.T.A.R.S, only L.J.'s life is spared. The N-2 Missile flies above Raccoon City, reaching the towers, and then obliterates the whole city. Alice is impaled and then regenerated in a water bubble and remembers everything. Dr. Isaacs is shown announcing "Program Alice Activated"
Despite the nuclear destruction of Raccoon City, the T-Virus has escaped containment. Unable to be contained by the Umbrella Corporation, the virus quickly spreads across the world, drying up the lakes, rivers, and continents while infecting the human population and spreading to other species. Five years later, The Umbrella Corporation appears to be the only human authority left, its remnants forced to live underground in Hive-like constructs around the world.
Meanwhile, Claire Redfield's convoy, which includes Alice's fellow Raccoon survivors Carlos Olivera and L.J., along with new survivors K-Mart, Mikey, Chase and Nurse Betty, are attempting to survive. The group is attacked by infected crows. The battle is going badly until Alice appears using her telekinetic powers to incinerate the flock by covering the sky in flames from a nearby fire. Alice is introduced to Claire, and gives her a diary she found in a deserted gas station. The diary claims of an infection free population living in Alaska. Alice and Carlos convince Claire and the convoy to head to Alaska. The other survivors agree to head for Las Vegas to obtain supplies before the trek to Alaska.
On Alices way to the lab's lower levels, she comes across a clone of herself still in a vegetative state. Isaacs attacks her, but she manages to fight him off. The clone awakens, but the shock apparently kills her. Dr. Issacs is killed becoming one of his own experiments. Meanwhile, in Tokyo, Japan, Wesker informs the rest of the Umbrella board that the North American branch has been lost, and he will now control further scientific experimentation from Japan. Using holographic technology, Alice makes an appearance at the board meeting, declaring that she and her friends are coming for them now. Standing beside the clone of herself, Alice looks onto the rows of pods containing other clones. As many clones begin to awaken.
now
Alice has been seperated from the rest of the group who are off to Alaska, but there helicopter runs out of fuel and they make a crash landing in Africa. Alice is on her way, her clones following her and taking in her lead. The clones and herself have indured many more different infections that have been realeased and many of the clones have died but there are billions of her so it wasn't that much of a loss. It wasn't until three months ago that Alice met up with the others when they found each other in Africa. It was a strange meeting but with all the clones on there side they were pretty much invincible. Now they have set up camp being stalled by something that has come up there.
That makes the hell they're living a little bit better... sometimes.
